Hello everyone! Hope you’ve been keeping well!
Big apologies for the lull in chat lately,
there’s been much to do, and not enough time to do it all in! Also I’ve been out of the office and up to
mischief, so it’s nice getting back into the office properly and catching up
with my usual jobs and bobs- like talking to you lovely folks!
This week at the Higher Space we’ve got a
week long bungee-assisted dance and vertical wall open level course running,
and it’s loud and bouncy and fantastic! Rob
Guy, our teacher extraordinaire for the week managed to grab a bit of video for
you this afternoon, so I’ll slap it together in a little vid for you in time
for next week’s blog- something to look forward to!
In other news, the mini documentary I’ve been
working on (and should’ve finished ages ago :/ ) is nearing completion! I completely underestimated how long this
would take- the journey from conception to finished article was a lot more long
and winding than I recalled- I suppose that’s because living it is a heck of a
lot different than trying to condense it down into a short video that’s fit for
an audience! It’s a lovely meander down
memory lane though, and I’d forgotten just how much Wired grafted to reach this
point. It’s a true testament to hard
work, hope, and support from other dedicated people who believed in the show as
much as we did. I’ll be doing some more
filming next week, but hopefully the video will be wrapped up in a week or two
after that and you’ll all be able to look through my eyes at this unique
production and the wonderful people who made it all possible.
Anyway, enough of that, I’m getting all
soppy and sentimental- onwards! There’s
bucket loads going on right now, but we’ve managed to schedule an Improvers
weekend workshop, and if you’re quick you can still get in on it! Held at the Higher Space and coming up on the
15th-16th October, it’ll be your last chance for a little
while to get your bungee-assisted dance and vertical wall work up to snuff
before we get overrun by enthusiastic young students while we’re teaching our
aerial theatre modules for Edge Hill University- all very exciting stuff!
A big thanks to the gorgeous and ridiculously
talented Jo Forrest –who is in residence this week for our workshop- for the
beautiful images we have gracing the blog today, always fantastic to have you
with us lady!
Right, that’s enough from me- more editing
to be done if I’m ever going to get this docu finished!
Have a good week everyone, I’ll see you
next Wednesday for more news and pssst…perhaps some gossip…oh yarrrrs!
Ta-rah!
