Hello everyone, I do hope you're all well!
So, never one to let a good potential post go to waste, I've popped it on anyway...
We’re home from Norwich and Norfolk, and back into training! The climbers are like a little colony of ants, all syncronised and moving in perfect harmony with each other moving heavy equipment and staging into The Higher Space- and you thought just the performers were coordinated?
We’ve had such an amazing last few days following the premiere of As the World Tipped. We felt the show went so well, and the audience seem to have felt the same way if all the comments and emails, and tweets and facebook messages are anything to go by! Thank you to everyone who has been in touch, and for all those who came along last Saturday- it really was out of this world!
For me personally, it’s going to be a very busy couple of weeks. I’m putting together a short film on the making of the project, and I’m really hoping it will adequately show just how much heart has gone into the project, and how very hard everyone has worked. It’s such a gargantuan subject to broach, and we hope to not just tour a great show, but open the eyes of the public to just how immediate and cataclysmic climate change is, and maybe, change the world a little bit.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, then you’ll be happy to know that the next stop on our tour is coming up right this weekend! We’ll be closing the show for the Brighton Festival this time, so if you can get over to Wild Park in Moulsecoomb at 9.30pm on May 28th (this Saturday!), then you’ll surely be in for a treat!
You can find details of all our tour dates and locations at the project website (www.astheworldtipped.com)- which is rather spiffy, even if I do say so myself! It’s also the place to be if you want to drop us a line and let us know what you think of the show- we love love love hearing from you, so do get in touch if you have anything to say!
That’s about it from me for today, I’ll leave you with a few of the awesome shots we got from the premiere. Have a good week everyone, and hope to see you down in Brighton!
So, obviously we've already been to Brighton, and to be truthful, it was a bit touch and go whether the weather was going to allow us to go on- but mother nature cut us a break, and as it turned out, we started bang on time. The show is gaining a huge following- it's really exciting over at The Higher Space. Reviews keep coming in, and they're all glowing, we're so proud!
I'm currently loving the latest one, a review by the Stage magazine, which you can take a read of yourself by clicking here. Good stuff hey?
Do keep your emails and comments coming in, we're loving every one, and plan to start posting them on our website home page in the near future, so drop us a line now if you haven't already.
Anyway, that really is your lot for today. I'll be back tomorrow, having a cosy chitchat with Robert Guy, the new Manager for The Higher Space (who is already whipping the place into shape) and giving you the heads up on the plans he's got for the space- exciting stuff!
Nighty night!
